My Profile: Deion Allen

I am a senior Digital Communication and Social Media major at Cabrini University. I chose to study health equity for citizens of basic and below-basic health literacy because most of my family and many people in America are not considered health literate. I wanted to find the factors that make people health literate, and if they are not, what cost-effective (if not free) steps could a person take to gain knowledge on health-related topics, as well as on his/her own current medical conditions.

Welcome to Health Equity for All

Health Equity For All is a place to engage with the health-related issues that affect the well-being of all of us today. It is a solutions journalism focused website created by Seniors in the Cabrini University Communication Department. Students in Senior Convergence: Media for Social Justice have harnessed their multi-platform skill sets to tell these stories that matter in text, video, audio, photos and infographics. They researched health inequities, identified root causes of these injustices, and reported on solutions for positive change. Thank you for being here to learn more about the need for health equity for all.
