Jessica Tennett will graduate in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Digital Communication and Social Media with a minor in Spanish.During Jess’s time at Cabrini she was a part of the Communications Department Learning Community her freshman year. She was also a part of Cabrini’s newspaper for two years, Loquitur in that time she was a staff writer, and an Audience Engagement team member. In the role of being an audience engagement member her duties included posting stories and updates about the school newspaper on social media platforms such as twitter, facebook and instagram. Jess was also a part of Cabrini’s video news program called LOQation for one year. During that time she participated in roles such as working the switcher, and being apart of the audience engagement team once again. She had an internship with the Cabrini University’s Marketing Department for a semester during her junior year. Jess developed skills in storytelling, audience engagement, increase knowledge and passion for social justice issues, social media marketing and editing with Final Cut Pro. She is also certified in HubSpot and Hootsuite. Along with being a part of the Communications Department’s media, Jess was a part of the and started for the Cabrini Women’s Field Hockey team for four years.Jess’s topic for this website is the increase prescription drug prices affecting individual’s ability to afford medication. Jess focused on individuals who have experienced a natural disaster and the struggles they go through when trying to find medication. She found this interesting because it is not often thought about what people go through when they experience of natural disaster and how resources are often very limited or nonexistence. After graduation Jess aspires to pursue a career in pharmaceutical marketing, or pharmaceutical event planning.
